What is Light up a Life?

Light up a Life is the name given to a series of very special community events that take place throughout the UK during November and December every year.

Organised by local hospices, Light up a Life events provide a special way to remember a loved one. They are open to everyone - not just people whose loved ones were cared for by a hospice.

“Lighting a candle to help hospices is such a simple thing, but it is also symbolic and means others who are facing the end of life will be helped.

I will be lighting a candle for my Mother and remembering a happy life with her and my father.”

“I am delighted to support hospices with their Light up a Life appeal this Christmas. I will be remembering and celebrating the life of my friend Andrew Moore this year and have lit a virtual candle in his memory."
